Julie Donnelly is a New York State licensed massage therapist specializing in the treatment of sports injuries and chronic pain since 1988. Her field of expertise is in the muscular component of pain and how to find and treat the source of problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, frozen shoulder, TMJ, back and hip pain. She is the developer of the Julstro System, a series of successful techniques for treating the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome using the extensive research documented by Drs. Janet Travell and David Simon. Julie has worked extensively with athletes and began teaching the Julstro self-treatments because she realized that people needed to continue their therapy at home on a consistent and daily basis. This ultimately became a series of self-treatment books including "The Pain-Free Runner," "The Pain-Free Triathlete," and her newest book "Treat Yourself to Pain-Free Living." In 2010 this series of books is growing to include 28 more titles. Julie is bringing a new understanding to the symptoms and treatment of repetitive strain injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome and low back pain. She is also a leading force in innovative treatments prior to surgical interventions. Her work with clients on the internet has made her an international expert with a large following who are seeking trained Julstro Muscular Therapy practitioners in their area. This has led to the Julstro Muscular Therapy certification course for qualified massage therapists.
