Cave Lod (Tham Nam Lod) Northern Thailand

Nam Lod Cave is about 1km deep and has a river running right through it from one end to the other... visitors can float through the cave on a bamboo raft.
Tham Nam Lod is around 8kms outside of the town of Sappong, in Northern Thailand... you can get to Lod Cave via bus, car, or motorbike from Chiang Mai to the town of Sappong.
It's Thai name "Nam Lod" translates to "water passing through" in English.
Cave Lod... also houses some very recognisable rock formations inside - including A Crocodile, Buddha and some stone Elephants.
Some ancient timber coffins were also found deep inside the cave.
Most visitors make a stop at the cave while touring the Mae Hong Son Loop... a popular car/motorbike route through Thailand's remote northern villages & towns.
