Tajikistan's residents have already been hit by the global economic crisis, but a slowdown in aid funding, as the crisis causes foregin powers to reduce their aid budgets, looks set to cause further suffering.

Robin Forestier-Walker reports for Al Jazeera from Dushanbe, the Tajik capital, where the reduction in aid funding is threatening a Global-Fund HIV/Aids project.
