Mexican Marines have discovered 32 tonnes of the chemical methylamine in two shipping containers at a port in Mexico's Veracruz City.
The Marines released pictures of the discovery on May 5.
Sealed in drums, authorities came across the massive haul late last month after a routine inspection of containers coming into the country.
Methylamine is an important precursor to methampetamines.
According to marine officials, the goods came on a cargo ship from China.
