Kentucky 'body in barn' mystery

Police have launched a murder inquiry after the discovery of a body in a barn near the Kentucky Derby racecourse just hours after the event.

The man's body was discovered on Sunday close to the spot where Derby winner I'll Have Another was stabled.

SOUNDBITE: ALICIA SMILEY, LOUISVILLE POLICE SPOKESWOMAN, SAYING (English):

"Our Fourth Division detectives received a report that a male who was down inside a bar here at Churchill Downs. The report was that he was deceased at the scene. Our homicide detectives later got to the scene and they were able to determine that there is foul play involved. However we still do not have an exact cause of death."

The body was discovered by a security guard.

An autopsy was due to take place on Monday.

The victim was found a day after a crowd of more than 165, 000 watched the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
