Somali pirates vow to avenge US - 13 Apr 09

Barack Obama, the US president, has expressed his determination to halt the rise in piracy off the Somali coast following the rescue of Richard Phillips, US captain held captive for five days.

The rescue led to the shooting of three Somali pirates, but their deaths have triggered vows of retaliation.
