The eastern Brazilian state of Bahia is famous for the first church built by slaves, for slaves, hundreds of years ago.

Their descendents still practice Candomble, a once-forbidden religion.

Lucia Newman takes a look at how despite all odds, the people of Bahia have kept the Afro- Brazilian beliefs alive in the world's largest Catholic country.
