Indonesia is one of the most corrupt countries in the world - ranking 126 out of 180 nations on Transparency International's corruption index.

Now it is targetting gangsters in an effort to improve its image.

But as Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen found, the police and politicians have a habit of getting on the wrong side of the law themselves.
