High turnout in Serbia's bitter fought campaign - 12 May 08

Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports from Belgrade on a bitter and closely fought campaign in Serbia.

It is a vote prompted by Kosovo's declaration of independence, and the province is a key issue as Serbs go to the polls to elect a new parliament.

The two main parties offer Serbs the choice of a future looking towards the West or back to the east.

Early turnout appears high and as Barnaby Phillips reports from Belgrade, there may be no clear winner at the end of the day.
