A new poll suggests President Nicolas Sarkozy could be closing the gap in France's presidential race, with six days to go.
Pollsters IPSOS say Sarkozy would take 47 percent of the second-round ballot - a rise of one point - while Socialist rival Francois Hollande is still six points ahead.
