North Korea celebrates 80th Army Day.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un watches a military training exercise.

State media said Kim was supervising general tactical exercises of the Korean People's Army Combined Unit 655.

The Army is celebrating it's 80th anniversary since being founded as an anti-Japanese occupation guerrilla force.

It's widely recognised as the fourth largest army in the world.

Kim called on soldiers attending the training to "mercilessly wipe out the enemies with the arms of justice and revenge if they provoke".

State media also showed footage of Kim attending a concert to celebrate the Korean People's Army anniversary.

He expressed great satisfaction over the successful performance.

North and South Korea are still technically at war since the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce without a peace treaty.
