Ukraine president visits blast city

Security has been stepped up in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipropetrovsk following a series of bomb blasts on Friday that wounded 30 people.
Four bombs planted in trash bins in various downtown locations exploded at short intervals in the city of 1.3 million on Friday afternoon, in what prosecutors said was an "act of terrorism".
Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich travelled to Dnipropetrovsk and met with law enforcement officials.
(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT VICTOR YANUKOVICH, SAYING:
"We understand well that we must find the criminals as soon as possible and they must be punished. We must understand what motivations and goals this crime had."
The president declined to say what direction the investigation was taking, but said city authorities would pay an award equivalent to 250,000 dollars for information that helps find the bombers.
The attack has unsettled authorities who are preparing to co-host the Euro-2012 soccer championship with Poland in six weeks, although no matches are due to take place in Dnipropetrovsk.
