Ethnic tension rises for Hungary's Roma minority - 2 Sept 09

In Hungary, confrontations between an increasing Gypsy population and right wingers are becoming more frequent and more violent.

The Roma form the largest minority in the country, accounting for almost 10 per cent of the population and their numbers are rising more rapidly than any other group.

Ethnic Hungarians say its changing the demographic of the country and leading to widespread tensions.
