Myanmar's Karen mourn KNU leader's death - 23 Feb 08

Myanmar's largest ethnic minority group has been mourning the loss of its leader who was assassinated in Thailand.

Mahn Sha, the Secretary General of the Karen National Union, led the fight against the ruling military.

He was taken back to Myanmar and laid to rest on Monday.

About 400 Karen attended the funeral under a cloud of uncertainty as to who murdered their leader.
