U.N. monitors face angry citizens in Syria

Amateur video out of Syria shows UN monitors on the streets of a town in Damascus province.

The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters appears to show angry citizens accusing the international community and the UN of ignoring the violence.

So far there are only about half a dozen U.N. monitors in Syria,

Syria has challenged the United Nations over the size and scope of the monitoring mission.

Despite a seven-day-old truce agreement between government and rebel forces .. more violence erupts.

The U.N. estimates that more than 9,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began more than a year ago.
