Jolie takes new U.N. role, Royals to welcome the Olympic torch

Angelina Jolie has expanded her position at the United Nations. The actress is taking on a new role as special envoy for large-scale crises that cause huge numbers of civilians to flee their homelands. Jolie has already served more than 10 years as goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.

Prince William and Kate will give the Olympic torch a royal welcome before the start of the London games. The couple will be on hand when torchbearers carry the flame through Buckingham Palace on July 26 - the day before the opening ceremony.

Catherine Zeta Jones presented her husband, Michael Douglas with the Eugene O'Neil Theater Center's 12th Annual Monte Cristo Award. Douglas was honored for his accomplishments and assistance to the global theater community.

Finally, Zac Efron walked the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of "The Lucky One." The movie features Efron as a Marine who returns home from a tour of duty and searches for a beautiful woman he's never met. It hits theaters on April 20.
