It is being called the 'River of Blood'. The 11,541 red chairs symbolise every person killed during the siege of Sarajevo 20 years ago.
The row of chairs stretches 800 metres through the centre of the city. Hundreds of the seats are small to signify the many children that also lost their lives - more than 600.
