Bird Courage is the latest arrangement from Erik Meier. The Bushwick singer songwriter has manifested a soul searching ... more journey to find sound and voice with a collaboration of driven artists in the DIY scene. The debut album showcases honest vocals, emotional harmonics and delicate (at times) yet much appropriate acoustic leads along with accompaniment from sections of similar genre bands.
"New Zealander Samuel R. Saffery and Bushwick musician Erik Meier met in NYC and joined forces in September 2011. Bird Courage's live performances are passionate and emotionally charged. They are focused on writing songs that weave delicately crafted vocal harmonies over often rhythmically aggressive acoustic guitar parts and are organically developing and refining a unique, alternative chamber folk sound. The duo is currently working on new recordings to be released early 2012."
