Ex-Irish PM Ahern quits Fianna Fáil

Former Irish prime minister Bertie Ahern has resigned from the Fianna Fail party.

He was set to be expelled within days after an inquiry found he had failed "to truthfully account" for hundreds of thousands of Irish pounds lodged in his personal account in the 1990s.
