British boy band One Direction is the first UK group to enter the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at number one, making chart history in the U.S. The band sold more than 176,000 copies of their debut album, "Up All Night," within minutes of its release. The pop sensations met on Britain's The X Factor after judge Simon Cowell suggested they sing as a group rather than on their own.

Hard rock vanguards "KISS" and the bad boys of "Motley Crue" announced plans for a summer tour that will take them to 40 plus cities in 2012. With combined album sales of almost 200 million, KISS and Motley Crue are a solid bet that tickets to "The Tour" will sell out fast. This is the first time "KISS" and "Motley Crue" will share a stage since 1982.

Congratulations are in order for Reese Witherspoon. US Weekly reports the actress is about 12 weeks pregnant with her first child with second husband, Jim Toth. And, she will be celebrating her 36th birthday on Thursday (March 22). The baby would be the couple's first child together. Witherspoon has two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Finally, the wild and wacky Muppets received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and a host of other Muppet notables accepted the honor - in a fanfare celebration with screaming crowds and confetti. Kermit's first TV appearance was in 1955. Since then, he and his friends have grown into a global phenomenon that is still going strong more than 50 years later.
