A series of explosions in Hama, Syria's fourth largest city -- this according to video posted to a social media website which Reuters cannot independently verify.

A recent visit by UN/Arab League envoy Kofi Annan doesn't appear to have even temporarily halted fighting inside Syria.

Anti-Assad sentiment was rampant at this refugee camp in Turkey's Hatay province. Syrians called for President Bashar al-Assad to step down and end his year long crackdown on demonstrations.

Once a staunch ally of Assads, Turkey now condemns his government's violent efforts to squash demonstrations and has hosted members of opposition groups along with thousands of refugees.

According to the latest UN reports, an estimated 8,000 people have been killed in the year long conflict.
