Setting the catwalk alight; avant garde designer Rick Owen combined flames with fashion in Paris with a collection that feaured wools, leathers and knits in subdued colours.

Models wore web-like veils - a tribute to Marlene Dietrich's veil in Shanghai Express and old Hollywood glamour.
