ANIMAL BEATS (BalconyTV)

Formerly known as "Newtown" or "Vinyl Maniac"; Animal Beats are a Limerick-based rock, drum-and-bass band with indie infusions formed in late 2007. Active musicians in the Limerick gig scene, Animal Beats have gained a reputation in the wider South-West region as a high-energy, high-entertainment and high-talent rock band showcasing original technique and musicality.
Recent winners of "Best Radio Plug-In" at the '09 Irish Youth Music Awards with their original favourite "I'll Be Waiting", written by the band; Animal Beats have spread their fan-base nationwide! This was a massive achievement for the young Limerick band having beat out 13 bands at the live National finals in "The Village" venue in Dublin in April for the prize. The band have also just become overall winners of Limerick's Got Talent 2009 beating out over 50 acts to secure first place.
