Daring to dream, Ned Wyndham (lead singer of Scoundrels) sent his demo tape to a host of industry figures in the slight hope that maybe one of them would listen. Little did he know that months later, the man who signed Madonna would have Scoundrels recording in legendary studios in Louisiana and working with producer Steve Albini, (whose credits include Nirvana, The Pixies, The Stooges, and Jarvis Cocker), plus that the band would be the subject of a documentary by Pulse Films, the makers of Blur's 'No Distance Left To Run'.

Skip forward a good portion of their career and we got them on our fab Balcony! (that's all any band really wants anyways!)

Hangman's Lament is the first single to be taken from the finished album. Recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago, while maintaining the raw and heavy sounds of the swamps of Lafayette, the single perfectly illustrates the juxtaposition between the bands musical experiences in Illinois and Louisiana. 'Hangman's Lament' is released on 19th July alongside a UK tour in support of Murder By Death. Scoundrels debut album will be released later this year
