Houston's funeral to stream online, Colbert Report suspended

Whitney Houston's funeral will now be viewable by fans all over the world. The services, which are invite only, will be broadcast live and streaming online. Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin are scheduled to perform at the event. People Magazine is also reporting that Houston's "The Bodyguard" co-star Kevin Costner will make an appearance and speak to the invited guests.

Comedy Central has suspended production of the The Colbert Report for at least two days, an unexplained development that ignited widespread speculation about the popular satirical news show hosted by Stephen Colbert. Comedy Central said the show aired a repeat episode on Wednesday (February 15) and would again on Thursday (February 16) due to "unforeseen circumstances," but did not elaborate. A spokesman for the cable network was not immediately available to comment.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are really getting dolled up for the first anniversary of their royal wedding. Mattel, the maker of Barbie dolls, said this week it will release a special two-doll set this April to mark the one-year anniversary of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding at Westminster Abbey. The figures, part of Mattel's Barbie Collector series, will come dressed up in doll versions of the wedding attire the couple wore in a ceremony. The price for the two-doll set will be $100 (USD).

Oscar preps are underway as the plans for the annual Governors Ball were revealed. This year's event won't be the standard sit-down meal, instead the organizers are aiming for a party atmosphere with small dishes and lounge-y feel. The Governors Ball will take place immediately after the 84th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26 and will be held in the Grand Ballroom on the top level of the Hollywood and Highland center.
