The character of Lemuel Gulliver has been created by the Irish novelist Jonathan Swift in 1726. In the first part, the celesta and the small bells represent the minuscule people of Lilliput, and the tuba : Gulliver. In the second part the brass instruments represent the gigantic people of Brobdingnag, and the celesta : Gulliver.
