Under siege in Homs

Amateur video out of Syria shows gunfire on the streets of Homs.
The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters shows armed men running along the street.
Homs has been one of the epicenters of the Syrian crackdown on anti-government protesters.
An armed insurgency has been growing in Syria in recent months contesting President Bashar al Assad's grip on several parts of the country.
The United Nations says more than 5,000 people have been killed since the uprising began last March.
The government says it is fighting foreign-backed militants who it says have killed 2,000 members of the security forces.
More footage shows demonstrations in Homs.
The video comes as an Arab League monitoring mission is coming to an end. Their mandate was to determine if an Arab peace plan has been implemented. Some have criticized the monitors for failing to halt violence.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said five civilians had been killed in gunfire around the country Friday.
