Whitewall sat down with artists Ilya and Emilia Kabakov on November 30th, 2011 at Gansevoort Hotel in Miami to discuss their Ship of Tolerance Project. It's a traveling installation that originally launched in Egypt in 2005. Now on view at the Miami Children's Museum, the Ship of Tolerance Project asks children in different communities to discuss the idea of tolerance, specifically through drawings that will later make up the sail of the ship. In this video, the Kabakovs explain their vision and why Miami was the ideal first installment of it in the US.
