Patent trolls hoard intellectual property rights in order to sue other companies for infringement. Even though the claims are often nonsensical, most company find it easier to settle out of court. Frivolous patent lawsuits are often filed by specially created shell companies. If they lose a lawsuit, they simply disappear. The website Fark, however, refused to countersue or give in to the patent troll. They settled for $0... and bragging rights.
