Founding Fathers Beer Donates Half of Profits to Veterans; FIFA Adds 16 New Projects to Football for Hope Program - CSR Minute for January 4, 2012

Founding Fathers is a specialty beer with a purpose: half of its net profits are dedicated to organizations that support U.S. military veterans and their families. The red, white, and blue packaged beverage was inspired by the example of Newman’s Own food line, which donates its after-tax profits to various charities. In Minnesota, Founding Fathers has partnered with the Minnesota Military Family Foundation and Tee It Up for the Troops, a charity golf event. The beer is now available only in Minnesota and North Dakota, but will be sold in seven more states by midyear.

FIFA, the International Federation of Football Association, has announced the results of its “Football for Hope” initiative for 2011. The program supports local organizations in aiding disadvantaged youths and communities around the world.
