Welcoming the observers in Syria

Amateur video out of Syria shows residents in a town near Deraa welcoming Arab League observers.
The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters comes as monitors continue their mission across the country to verify that president Bashar al-Assad is complying with a peace plan.
Washington is saying that Assad is not living up to its obligations to end the violence.
More footage, purportedly from Idlib shows people dancing in the streets. They are offering praise to the cities that have stood up to the regime. The United Nations says that at least 5,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began last March. The government blames the violence on foreign backed insurgents.
Video purportedly from Homs shows tanks in the city. The camera pans over to Arab League monitors.
On Monday the head of the Arab League said Syria's military had withdrawn from residential areas and was on the outskirts of the country's cities.
