Stunning D-SLR Timelapse taken in the small town of Las Vegas, Tenerife. If you look closely on the last segment, you will see a lot of shooting stars! This corresponds with the 2011 Geminids meteor shower. See if you can spot Andromeda, Venus, and the Pleiades!
These sequences were taken with a Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. The night portions are maxing out at 30s exposure, with ISO ranging from 1250 to 2000. The D7000's battery lasted anywhere from 380 to 589 shots on a single charge, with moderate impact from the long shutter speed and a high impact from higher ISO. I got only 380 shots with 30s / ISO 2000.
