Thailand marks seventh anniversary of tsunami.

STORY: Commemoration ceremonies for the victims of the 2004 tsunami concluded with candlelight and prayers in the Thai tourist resort of Phuket on Monday (December 26).
"Light up Phuket" is an annual event on Patong Beach where residents can honor those who died seven years ago when the tsunami washed away the lives of thousands in Thailand, including tourists.
More than 230,000 people in 11 countries died when a 9.1-magnitude earthquake struck under the Indian Ocean.
As many as six provinces were hit by the tidal wave along Thailand's Adaman coast, killing an estimated 5,400 people. Nearly 2,000 of whom were foreign tourists.
