Tanks and protests in Syria

Amateur video of Syria appears to show tanks on the street of Homs.
The video, which could not be indpendently verified by Reuters comes amid reports that three people were killed in Homs Sunday.
Homs, a stronghold of the resistance to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has purportedly witnessed more violence after twin suicide bombings killed 44 people in Damascus on Friday.
More footage shows demonstrators back on the streets across the country.
On Sunday the head of an Arab League mission arrived in Damascus to check Syria's compliance with an Arab peace plan to halt the violence.
The United Nation says more than 5,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began in March.
Assad's opponents have voiced skepticism about the mission. They say they have little confidence that Assad will honor the agreement.
Syrian authorities blame the violence on foreign-backed armed Islamist "terrorists" who they say have killed 2,000 members of Syria's security forces.
Syria has banned most independent media from the country making it difficult to verify accounts from activists or the government.
