Can Muslims be friends with Jews and Christians? Have people been telling you that the Muslim community is trying to take over? Did you buy into the propaganda that all Muslim people are your enemies? Is it possible for Christians and Muslims to be friends in the current political climate? Representing the Muslim perspective was Dr. Jamal Badawi: Dr. Badawi is the director of the Islamic Information Foundation, Halifax, Canada. He is a professor of Management at Saint Mary University in Halifax. He has authored several books and articles on Islam and designed and participated in the production of nearly 350 half-hour segments of a TV series on Islam. Active in journalism and broadcasting he has had a series of programs concerning Islamic belief and practices shown on Canadian television throughout the world. He has lectured extensively in North America and abroad, and is an excellent speaker on a variety of topics including Islam & Christianity. Dr. Badawi is also a member of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Fiqh Council. Representing the Christian side was Rev Safa Reza: Rev Reza is a former Shia Muslim and Christian pastor of Fishermen's House Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma He was born and raised as a Shiite Muslim in the country of Iran. His father was a Muslim scholar and writer. After experiencing the hard reality of Ayatollah Khomeinis regime, Reza left Iran and moved to Sweden. There he converted to Christianity Pastor Reza founded The Harvesters World Outreach, a worldwide evangelistic and healing ministry. For the past 20 years, he has held crusades and pastors conferences in nearly 50 countries, reaching thousands of people in India, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union for Jesus. Pastor Reza is also the founder and pastor of Fishermens House Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has ministered to and educated many people in the U.S. as well as other countries through TV ministry and Islam Awareness Seminars. Pastor Reza has authored several books, including The Coming Fall of Islam in Iran, The Rise and Fall of Islam and Blood of the Sword, Blood of the Cross.
