How Deedat Made Me Daaee - Dr. Zakir Naik explains Sheikh Ahmed Deedat's contribution behind him becoming a daaee (Islamic missionary). Introduction of Sheikh Ahmed Deedat: The charming and charismatic founder of the IPCI, born in July 1, 1918 in the Surat district of India, was an Islamic scholar, author and lecturer. His family migrated to South Africa in 1927. He established the first Islamic religious institution in South Africa to train preachers at the Assalaam Institute in Braemar. He was the president of the Islamic Propagation Centre International (IPCI), until he suffered from a stroke, which left him paralysed for 10 years. He passed away on 8th August 2005. Introduction to Dr. Zakir Naik: A medical doctor by professional training, Dr. Zakir Naik is renowed as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion.
