Does Belief in the Trinity Necessitate Polytheism?

Is Christianity monotheistic or polytheistic? Does the Trinity make sense? On Saturday November 15th 2008, Muslim Apologist Abdullah al Andalusi and Christian Apologist Dr. James White engaged in debate on Premier Christian radio show " Unbelievable? " in UK on the topic of whether belief in the Trinity necessitate polytheism. the radio show engages in fundamental questions on Christianity with the intention to openly discuss different opinions between Christians and non Christians. Representing the Muslim perspective was Brother Abdullah al Andalusi: Brother Abdullah a public speaker and activist. He is a former Christian who embraced Islam at a young age, and has studied Islam in depth since he was 18. He also has an academic background in Computer Science. Abdullah has had a long experience in working for Islamic revival and the establishment of Islamic shariah in the Muslim world. Abduallah is a member of the Muslim Dawah Initiative its formed of members from the Muslim community with experience in public speaking, apologetics, polemics, research and community work. His activities involve speaking at community centres, universities, colleges and appearances on various TV programmes. He is experienced in debates with Atheists, Secularists and Christians, and has be involved in public and radio debates with Atheists and Christians. He has made hundreds of videos defending Islam on Youtube. He has debated Christians on Hyde Park Corner for the past 5 years. Representing the Christian side was Dr. James White: Dr. James is the director of Alpha and Omega Ministries, a Christian apologetics organization based in Phoenix , Arizona . He is a professor, having taught Greek, Systematic Theology, and various topics in the field of apologetics. He is also a critical consultant for the Lockman Foundation's New American Standard Bible. He has authored or contributed to more than twenty books, including The King James Only Controversy, The Forgotten Trinity, The Potter's Freedom, and The God Who Justifies.
