Winter Lawn Care

The transition between summer to fall and winter is an important adjustment period for Lake Oswego landscaping. Considering the sudden shift in temperature, it only follows that there must also be a change in lawn care. Before summer gives way to the succeeding seasons, one must check on the lawn’s health level so as to make sure its capacity to endure the ensuing cold weather. One thing a lawn owner should consider is the thatch level. Somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 is the ideal for it allows just enough lawn moisture and protection. The fall and winter season is the lawn’s hibernation period and because these seasons provide enough saturation, there is no need for much watering. Also mowing can be reduced to at least once a week.
