Chinese spacecraft returns to earth safely

China's spacecraft Shenzhou 8 parachutes back to earth.
The unmanned vessel is part of the country's plan for a fully functional space station in 2020.
It had successfully conducted the first docking tests with China's space module 'Heavenly Palace' earlier this month.
But it is still far from catching up to U.S. and Russia.
Beijing plans to launch similar craft in the near future as well as a moon rover in 2012.
