A "Twilight" frenzy in downtown L.A. on Monday (November 14).
Many fans had travelled hundreds of miles and been camping out for days to get up close to the stars of their favourite vampire saga.
And with the franchise soon reaching its ultimate climax, fans had been anticipiating "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" for one good reason.
It's where the young Bella Swan finally gets to walk down the aisle to marry vampire Edward Cullen.
Surrounded by secrecy, equalled only by this year's Royal Wedding - details about this very important scene had been kept closely under wraps.
Until now.
SOUNDBITE: Kristen Stewart, actress, saying (English):
"It was amazing. I had the clearest head I've had on the whole series. I was, I was so in my body that day, and a lot of times you can just overthink everything and that's not how I wanted to remember it, yeah, it was great."
SOUNDBITE: Kellan Lutz, actor, saying (English):
"Looking forward to a wedding is pretty epic for us to shoot. Kristen looked amazing, Rob looked handsome, the rest of us cast just wearing the tuxes and dresses, it was a very special moment for all of us to capture."
Taking on the challenging task of creating Bella's wedding dress was fashion designer Carolina Herrera.
SOUNDBITE: Carolina Herrera, fashion designer, saying (English):
"I wanted to create a magical moment that they had at the wedding. It is a very special girl, you know, she's an innocent girl that is finding her first true love."
Saying what many of his fans were thinking, Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner said he was sad to see the series finish so soon.
SOUNDBITE: Taylor Lautner, actor, saying (English):
"It has been a journey, we've had a lot of fun together, so when we finished filming, it was kind of a bummer because we really, I mean, going back filming is like reuniting with the family, so it was tough to finish."
Lucky for fans though,"Breaking Dawn" - the fourth and final book has been split into two films.
So while Part 1 hits theatres this week, 2012 will see Bella, Edward and Jacob return to the big screen one more time.
