Ban Ki-moon sees charred remains in Libya

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's last stop in Libya was a military base in the southern part of the country. At the Khamis 32 base, he was shown the charred remains of 53 people .
He also met with several men who were held at the base.
Former detainee Abdelhadi Bishweya spent 50 days there.

"I told him that we were treated badly and that we were tortured and prevented from eating, drinking and sleeping and washing and seeing our families, we were completely cut off from the outside world."
The remains found at the base are believed to belong to both civilians and rebel fighters detained by pro-Gaddafi forces before the fall of Tripoli.
