Three blasts rip through Basra

Overturned chairs and blood after three explosions ripped through these cafes in central Basra.
At least eight people are dead and dozens were wounded in the Iraqi port city.
The blasts came in the early evening as locals gathered in the cafes to play dominoes and backgammon.
Bombings and attacks remain a daily occurrence in Iraq nearly nine years after the U.S. invasion. Military leaders have expressed concerns that militants might ramp up attacks as the U.S. troops begin packing up to leave.
