Improve Internet Explorer 9 stability

No doubt, like myself, many readers have found that Internet Explorer (IE) 9 does not respond sometimes. I discovered this was due to a setting that tells IE how to display web pages. I had no more problems once I changed this.

Click on the Start button, type Internet Options and press Enter. Click on the Advanced tab. The option to change is the top one, ‘Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering’. Tick this option, click OK and restart IE.
