Israeli television shows Egyptian video footage of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit after being handed over to Israeli authorities from Hamas on Tuesday (October 18).
Shalit was released in part of a prisoner swap with Israel who have agreed to free more than 1,00 prisoners... the first batch of 477 also to be released on Tuesday.
This is the first video of Shalit since 2009. He had been held in captivity by the Islamist group Hamas since June 2006.
