Delay in Murray trial, Elizabeth Taylor's memorial

The involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray has been delayed for two days. The trial will be dark Monday and Tuesday (October 17, 18) - due to a death in the family of a key witness for the prosecution and also to give defense attorneys time to analyze new testing that coroner's officials recently conducted. The trail is set to resume on Wednesday (October 19).
Elizabeth Taylor was remembered at a memorial service on Sunday (October 16) - nearly seven months after her death. Hundreds of friends and family gathered on the Warner Bros. studio lot to honor the actress. The event was hosted by Colin Farrell and featured a performance by Elton John.
Lady Gaga has signed on to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast next month. Gaga leads the way with six award nominations. She joins an impressive roster of other singers already slated to perform - including Bruno Mars and Coldplay.
Finally, Hilary Swank is still trying to mend the public relations storm surrounding her attendance of a controversial event in Chechnya. The Oscar-winning actress has said she will donate her appearance fees from the event to various charitable organizations. Swank came under fire for participating in the ceremony- which was, in part, a birthday celebration for a regional political head, accused of orchestrating human rights violations.
