http://youtube.com/FashionTV PARIS - FashionTV has your first look at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011 with designer brands Balmain and Giambattista Valli. We go backstage at Balmain where we catch up with makeup artist Tom Pecheaux as he explains the makeup look for the show this season. "The makeup is there to make the girl look breathtaking without showing any makeup," he says. So Pecheaux is pulling out all the stops, using every makeup trick in the book. The look is fresh and natural. The hair is very natural, says hairstylist Sam McKnight, it's even more natural then usual. There's a very low ponytail, like it's falling out. Model Karmen Pedaru opens the show with a great Balmain look--high-end, chic, rock & roll, but sexy.

Next, FashionTV heads over to the Giambattista Valli show for Fall 2011. Val Garland, makeup artist for this show, says the makeup is tomboyish, but natural. She calls the look tough, boyish but very real. Hairstylist Orlando Pita says the hair is very architectural that goes with the collection. It's sculptural but androgynous. Model Daga Ziober opens the show in a dark gray look with matching top and bottom. Giambattista Valli wants his women to be strong with a quiet power. "I wanted to do almost patchwork dresses." He's sort of a couturier at heart," adds Nicole Phelps, Executive Editor of Style.com. There's also a lot of floral in the collection.
