More testimony in Jackson trial; Simpsons ending?

The involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray continued on Tuesday (October 04), with testimony from a cocktail waitress who Conrad Murray dated in 2009. She told the court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 4) that she was on the phone with the doctor on the day of pop star Michael Jackson's death.
Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
The future of animated TV comedy "The Simpsons" is up in the air after Fox Television says it can no longer afford to produce the show without a huge pay cut for its cast.
Producers issued a tough statement threatening to end the series unless the voice actors take a 45 percent pay cut.
"The Simpsons" is the longest-running comedy series on U.S. television and is currently in its 23rd season on Fox.
Angelina Jolie will be taking on a new role with the United Nations. The American actress and the UN are working on a program that would have Jolie lend her support to the world's hardest hit refugee areas.
Jolie has previously served for 10 years as goodwill ambassador for the U.N..
A rare drawing by John Lennon is part of the more than 120 lots of The Beatles that will be auctioned in Argentina.
Beatles tribute band, the Danger Four, were part of an event to introduce the collection in Buenos Aires on Tuesday (October 4).
The items will be auctioned on October 13.
