French private & state teachers strike together

For years France's private and public sector teachers have eyed each other suspiciously but on Tuesday they came out on strike together for the first time to protest at fresh job cuts. 14,000 are due to go in the next budget, bringing to 80,000 the number President Sarkozy has cut during his five-year term. http://www.euronews.net/
