We, at the Bergerie du Capucin, are a winery in the Pic St. Loup appellation, the northernmost appellation of the Languedoc-Roussillon. We're located 15 miles north of the Mediterranean city of Montpellier on clay-limestone ground. The summers can be very hot here, but temperatures fall considerably at night, allowing the vines some respite from the heat, and giving the grapes time to gather flavour and colouring. This results in balanced wines that are both fruity and refreshing.
