Trying to find a solution based on reforms: Syrian Foreign Minister

The United Nations Security Council is holding a second day of debates in New York to hammer out a draft resolution condemning the violence in Syria. Since March, 1600 people have reportedly been killed as the government has cracked down on pro democracy protests. This past weekend and the beginning of Ramzan has seen some of the worst. Fearing that Europe might once again begin a NATO offensive in Syria in the same manner it has in Libya, countries like Russia and China are opposing a resolution that calls for sanctions and stronger action. India, which is on the Security Council will also vote on the resolution, and the Syrian government's Deputy Foreign Minister Feysel Mekdad has been in Delhi for a friendly ear.
